Rodger Gabrielson

Rodger grew up in Kenosa, Wisconsin. He graduated from Yale and joined the Voice of America in Washington DC. Shortly thereafter he was recruited by the CIS where he served for 36 years. He retired and moved to black Butte Ranch with his wife Carolyn 12 years ago.

He serves on the Board of Directors of the sisters Habitat for Humanity and on the Habitat Restore Advisory Committee.

He was instrumental in creating the BBR SB-360 Lot Certification Program and Chairs the SB-360 Lot Certification Committee.

He is often seen motoring around the Ranch with some of his 5 granddaughters in his 1929 Model A Roadster or his neighborhood electric car.

Connected to the Ranch since 1976 and a permanent resident since 1998.

Over 30 years experience in the financial services industry with the Federal Reserve System and Wells Fargo Bank. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. Education includes Golden Gate University, San Francisco, CA. and Pacific Coast Banking School, University of Washington Seattle, WA.

Richard Elliott

Richard and his wife Nancy became fulltime BBR residents February 2006.

Richard grew up in Newport Beach, CA. He attended the University of Redlands and UC Berkeley where he graduated with a BS in Engineering. He served in the Air Force 5 years as an aircraft maintenance officer and then attended Stanford Graduate School of Business where he earned his MBA. Richard and his wife raised their family (a daughter and son, now grown and parents of our 6 grandchildren) in Palo Alto, CA.

Richard began his career in finance and administration as a CPA at Touche Ross in both San Francisco and San Jose offices. He remained there for 14 years and left as a Partner. Then he became the Executive Director of Pettit & Martin, a SF law firm of over two hundred attorneys. Richard finished his career as VP Finance & Administration at Pittiglio Rabin Todd & McGrath, a consulting firm based in Mountain View, CA that concentrated on service to high tech companies.

Richard and Nancy were introduced to BBR over 25 years ago by good Palo Alto friends who own a second home in BBR.They moved to BBR when they retired to enjoy all of the activities and beauty that the ranch has to offer. His interests include tennis, golf, hiking, and sharing BBR with his friends, family, and especially our grandchildren.

Larry Ellis grew up in the foothills of the Cascades, Cascadia and Sweet Home.

The Ellis's have owned property at Black Butte Ranch since 1972, and have lived here since 1999. Larry enjoys woodworking, hiking, skiing, traveling, and the Grandkids.
